Then, suddenly, it took a very short jump at warp three to appear above the Klingon's. It instantly fired Quantum3 torpedoes and phasers in a simultaneous spread. It hit four of the twelve ships before they could respond. Before they even hit the ships; however, the Interpride had already entered a short warp jump again. Again at warp three to appear somewhere else among the surprised, panicking, Klingon's. Again if fired a spread, disabling one of the ships, while critically hitting two, and damaging the rest, however minor. Two of the remaining eleven ships warped out of the system, probably to bring reinforcements. The Interpride continued its maneuvers until all but one ship remained. "Sir, only five quantum3's left. enough for one more spread." "We only have one more ship to defeat, do you really think we need to keep firing spreads? We should have stopped at three. Target that ship and fire quantum3's and phasers again." "Sir, how are we going to destroy the planet?" "We still have photon3's, quantum3's, and transphasics don't we? As well as phasers. Plenty of fire power. Now, fire." A burst of torpedoes and phasers quickly rid them of the last ship. The Interpride then began firing transphasics at the planet. The explosions were more intense than normal, however. "Sir, the chemical, it's the atmosphere." Really? Keep firing." After they fired their last torpedo, the planet exploded. Not just a small explosion, but an explosion that shook the Interpride instantly. "Sir, hull integrity at 50%!" Max warp towards the Alpha quadrant! Same course as before!" The Interpride warped out as the explosion grew. Captain's Log Stardate 61970.3 *************** We have just intercepted a message and found out that the explosion destroyed all surrounding systems. That was truly a big bang. Too bad you can't hear anything in space. No matter for sound to travel through. They say if you could hear it half of the Beta quadrant would have. This will truly have an impact on the Klingon empire. The explosion destroyed many main weapon and ship producing facilities, as well as dozens of research facilities. One of them close to achieving successful transwarp. The NGS will be hailed as heroes in the Alpha quadrant. Until the next tradegy. Will, due to his great helm skills, has been promoted to Captain. He was already First Officer, there was nowhere else for him to go. I have discussed things with him on this two month voyage (that unfortunately we will be taking again.) about a ship he designed. The Corp class he calls it. I have sent a message ahead of us telling them to begin construction on it at all haste. It should be done in three months. It will; however, slow down construction of A-200, which was already falling behind schedule. But as long as we have the Federation as our allies starbases will not be of concern. I am proud of every one of my crew today. September 20 2711 "Where is the Captain," first officer asked. "Captain's lounge, he's been in there since we left two days ago," The second officer replies." (Outside the Akira's Captain's lounge) "Captain Palpatine we are close to Boreth What do are your orders," the first officer asked. The captain Emerges and heads straight for the bridge. Once arriving there he situation has deteriorated quickly, mainly due to fact that some Sovereigns, Sovereign 2s, and Galaxies had made a blockade of the planet, which reminded the captain of San Francisco. "So this is the last fight." 'Sir the Intrepid class is right behind us." 'Make straight away for the planet's surface at full impulse engines and load all necessities on the shuttles we have, then evacuative to that forest patch up there," In that patch was the hidden base where a certain ship was being finished, the NCC- 50000 or the USS Invicible. Meanwhile that Intrepid class ship was actually the Victory appeared and watched the Akira make its way over and around the bigger and slower ships. After sitting for the 15 minutes it took off after the Akira and luanched a volley of Quantum4 torpedoes. One strikes the Akira just after all shuttles are luanched and clear of the hanger bay, "Everyone in the saucer now if you want to live," came Palpatine's reply to the expolsion of both of the nacelle. The Captain then ejected the saucer section where it landed next to the base, the shuttles landing next door, "Keep the shuttles loaded for as soon as we get this ship off the ground enter the ship hangerbay. Captain Palpatine. The Crew of the Akira has landed in the jungle next the base, and have also managed to sneak in through an open side door before the Akira explodes. With nothing of their former ship they enter the Invincible, ready for anything. 'Everyone split up, engineers, head to the engine rooms, techies, to the tech station, bridge crew, your with me, everyone else find a room for quarters and clear out everything between the rooms." "Yes Captain." So anyone that wasn't part of the crew was killed, which was no one since it was a major holiday, NGS removal day. The bridge crew fired up the ship and found the vessel loaded with phasers and torpedoes. 10 minutes later there was no sign that the Invincible even existed, but it had picked up the shuttles and was leading a Federation Fleet., however a worm hole appeared and sucked in the Invincible, leaving the fleet confused. "Where are we now, first officer?" "Sir we are now in the year 1970, looking at the far side of the moon, and that is the Apollo 13 space craft." 'Very interesting first officer, but get us to the right............................." "The rest of the sentence was canceled after another wormhole opened and sucked in the Invincible. Captain Palpatine SUS Akira- Kurill Prime Beta Quadrant November 3, 2681 Captain's log *************** We have returned, now to take care of business, *************** "Captain we have arrived here what are your orders." "I have noticed that the weapons acts with the warp engines, so enter warp when we get close." The New SUS Akira entered warp right next to the Atmosphere. The sudden activation forced the explosion of the chemical thus destroying the planet. "Nice work team. Now let's go to Satrbase A-200 and pay a visit to Commander Reynolds, All radios on silent." With those words the Akira entered warp and headed to Starbase A-200. The trip was uneventful and very boring, and so 3 days later the ship exited warp and waited outside of the Starbase. "This Captain of the SUS Akira, Formally the USS Invincible requesting permission to dock. We have returned home." Will has officially been promoted to captain, but his ship wasn't completed until yesterday. With him gone, I will have to find a new first officer. Shouldn't be too hard, I have a fine crew. ************** "Captain Will! Good to see you. How have you been these last three months." "Great, President. Visited Vulcan." "Good too know you had fun. Anyway, let me show you to your new ship." Fleet President Reynolds and Captain Will each walked out the door of Reynolds quarters. They walked a long way down the hall to the turbolift. "Docking section 32," said Reynolds. After a few seconds the turbolift doors opened. Again the pair walked down the hall to a door marked with a large 32. "Right this way Captain." Reynolds followed Will through the door into a shuttle. "We didn't build your ship at the starbase. See that moon over there," said Reynolds as he pointed to a moon orbiting a nearby planet. That is where we had it built. After a few minutes in the shuttle they reached the moon. They looked down at a very impressive ship. Will had a stunned look on his face. "It's the Corp class. I don't believe it." "I made your dreams a reality, Will." The ship was much like a sovereign with the exception of an upraised section near the back that held the main bridge. There was a secondary bridge where the normal bridge is, as well as a third bridge where the secondary bridge is on a normal sovereign. As well as this it's warp engines were basically flipped upside down. This was mostly for looks, it didn't really have any design benefits. "Fleet Admiral Palpatine and Admiral Aldrant are waiting in the bridge." Reynolds turned on his communicator, "Beam us down." After they were beamed to the bridge, there was much talking going on among the four. After it died down Reynolds began the meeting. "It has been three months since we destroyed Telfas Prime and Kurill Prime. The Klingons have not bothered anyone since. Not us not the Federation. There are surely on the verge of defeat. But I tell you now it won't be easy. There will be risks. It may still take years. You know the Klingons, they aren't truly defeated until they cannot fight any longer. Just taking their capitol planet won't defeat them. The war will be long and bloody. "We already knew this, President," said Palpatine. "Why are you telling us now?" "To remind you. This war will not all be victory after victory. There will be losses. I offer you all a chance right here. Leave and you will not be punished for abandoning the NGS. "I think I speak for all three of us, President, when I say we will stay," said Aldrant. "Aye," agreed Will. Palpatine nodded. "Very well. Captain will, you are now an officer under the Alpha fleet. You may go mingle with your crew, get to know them, as well as get to know the ship. Aldrant, your ship has had some refits and is ready to go. You may take it out and begin patrols. Palpatine, I need to speak to you." Will and Aldrant left. Reynolds took a seat in the captains chair. "What you did three months ago was great. You helped the NGS, even if it was in the future. However, you interfered with the timeline. That does not go unpunished. The ship you took has been taken from you. Sorry, but I cannot allow you to fly it, I cannot allow the Federation or any other empire learn of it and it's technology. It cannot fall into the wrong hands. You are being assigned a new ship. An Akira refit class. It is larger and more powerful. It has been deemed the SUS Akira-A. You are back in command. Be lucky I know you well. Any other superior officer would put you in the brig for interfering with time. Your new command starts in one week." "I understand." With this, they both stood up and got into the turbolift. The only words spoken were to the turbolift to take them to the transporter room. After this they both went to their business. Reynolds to read patrol reports. Palpatine to begin his patrols. Aldrant also began his patrols, and Will familiarized himself with his new ship to begin patrols the next day.
