I decided (when i wrote it) that my last version of Kahova was terrible, so here is a completely different version.
Toa Kahova, Part 1
It was a beautiful day in Taro Nui, a land far to the south of where Mata Nui lay. Stone matoran bustled about in Por-Koro, trading, playing games, and carving. There was a crowd of matoran entering and leaving the city as well. The Por-matoran built roads, tunnels, statues, archways, and buildings all over Taro Nui. Everyday crews would return from their weeks of work as more crews left to continue them or begin new jobs.
On a street near the west end of the village, opposite the main entrance, a matoran ran as fast as he could to a hut that was about twice the size of the rest. Knocking on the door, he shouted, "Tiahu! Tiahu!"
From inside the hut came a rough and commanding voice, "Yes, what is it Vialo?"
"There is a fight at the main gate! Come quick!"
The door to the hut opened quickly and a figure about two bios tall, versus the matorans one. Stepping out into the sun, the toa called Tiahu was revealed. He had the presence of power, and the appearance of it as well. He carried a staff as tall as he was that was topped with what looked like four dully serrated short blades perpendicular to each other. He wore the Kanohi Kakasi, the mask of communications. It allowed him to move his field of vision (including voice and hearing), as well as a projection of himself, near anyone anywhere in the universe as long as he could picture them.
Without wasting any time, Tiahu ran to the main gate. Upon arriving he saw six Por-matoran, three Tak-matoran, and four Oen-matoran fighting each other.
Taro Nui matoran are unlike those of the north. They are taller and more adept in fighting. As one looked out on these thirteen matoran fighting, it almost looked like thirteen powerless toa. As Tiahu ran up to the exchange, one of the Oen-matoran had knocked a Por-matoran unconscious.
"STOP!" Tiahu yelled. Bringing his mace down on the ground (mostly for show) he brought up three stone walls, separating the matoran into their perspective groups. Creating a platform where the walls met, Tiahu jumped up to where he could see all three groups. "Someone tell me why this fight broke out, now!"
"Good toa, said one of the Por-matoran. "I believe it may have started with a simple collision."
Tiahu could believe this. Oen-matoran generally competed with Por-matoran and Tak-matoran had an easily fired temper. It was understandable if one collided into another, and, in the confusion struck out at the third kind of matoran, created a fight between the three. The Tak-matoran were probably family, seeing as how they would not finger to help anyone else, and the Oen-matoran were probably friends. Por-matoran and Gav-matoran were the only ones known for helping others out just because they needed help.
With a sigh, Tiahu lowered the walls and dispersed the three groups of matoran, warning them that he would have his eye on them the rest of the day.
Beginning his walk back to his house, Vialo appeared to his right. "Tiahu, the turaga wishes to see you!"
