Weapons: Plasma turrets, hydrogen missiles defenses: Armor, shield Max Warp: no warp drive The reason it has no warp drive its because it has a different type of interstellar drive. It is called Graviton drive, a drive that uses the gravitational stress between two stars, and makes a gravity catapult that throws the ship to its destination. The ship still needs a subspace field in order to counter act the time effects of going faster than the speed of light.

I like the idea, one problem is, what if it's stuck somewhere where stars are too far away?

The stress is still there, the ship could move between any two stars. If the drive is strong enough the ship could go to any of the two stars, but the ship is pretty much screwed. It also depends on the type of stars(two Blue Giants have a much greater stress than two red dwarfs the same distance away from each other).

True, but would it be possible to have an antimatter transwarp drive onboard as a backup?

It might be smart.
