Gargonians
Description:
Stand on two legs, lean forward slightly, and have slightly angular faces. Skin is scaly on adult Gargons, but on young ones its slimy and smooth like a reptiles. Gargons have short tails that are to balance them (basicly like a dinosaur) but are so muscular that one swing from and adult CAN kill a full grown human wearing leather armor. They live on the planet Sargonia and most live in the wild, having only treehouses or caves to live in. There are countries on the planet however, and some architecture as well. Most buildings are government or marketplace-like buildings. There most advanced class of starships(yes they have starships, they keep all their technology off the planet so to perserve the planets nature) are some of the most powerful and fastest ships ever seen that were not borg cubes and did not use transwarp. Only the new Universe class rivals their power. They have mobile starbases that are as powerful as starbases such as DS9 or other similar starbases.
Technology:
Discovered their technology from a crashed ship of unknown origin. (The Gargons were as smart as any modern race, and could do all their thinking in there head. They have photographic memory and can think as fast as any modern computer-modern as in 21st century) They took the ship into a deep underground cavern where they studied it, rebuilt it, and launched it into space so they could begin building the starbase that now orbits the planet.
Physical Attributes(slightly more detailed than description)
The Gargons are capable of jumping almost 15 feet without even exerting themselves. They climb well in trees, similar to monkeys, despite how there appearance might make you think otherwise. The Gargons are strong enough to kill a full grown human without any weapon, but are a peaceful race. (To other species. However, they war among each other as much as humans do) Last but not least(not least my a long shot) The Gargons are extremely hard to assimilate into the borg collective.
Economy
Although it doesnt appear so if you were to visit the planet, it actually consits of a highly devleloped trade and commerce system. The Gargons have a money system based on multiples of ten. They have the Thi (long i) which equals the american cent. Then they have the Thinu (short i), equaling the american dime. Based on that(starting with 1, then going to 10, 20, 30, and 100 being an american dollar) this is the order of their money system.
Thi=1
Thinu=10
Thew(rhymes with threw)=100
Basiclly, if its over a Thew, they would say something like 3 Thews(like 3 dollars), and a Thi is like a cent, so 20 Thi(like 20 cents).
Reproduction
Just like humans, plain and simple, except the females only produce one egg a year, but its almost always fertilized. That creates a controlled population growth.
Carmin water
A Regenerating liquid with a red color. The consistency of water, yet lighter. It is unknown how it manages to regenerate, however, it has been discovered that it may be some sort of Neutral matter, which has lead to the Neutral theory, that everything has a neutral form to equal its two opposite elements. This is well demonstrated with the proton, electron, and neutron.
Trade
The only thing that keeps the Gargons from being conquered is there trade. Of course, if they were conquered the conquering race would have all the rescources under their control, but so much fighting is already going on in the universe that as long as the Gargons keep other races happy they dont get killed. Among other races, the Gargons sell 1 ton of Carmine Water (30ft high, 40 ft wide, and 160ft long containment chamber) for only a Thay (or equivelent). This keeps the races happy for it is so cheap, and the Gargons get an income because it cost nothing to harvest it. Among each other, from country to country on the same planet, they sell it for 1 Thew. From country to a country of different governing on a different PLANET they sell it to each other for 20 Thew. (remember that the planets are divided into countrys just as earth is now)
Weapons
The technology of the Gargons comes from a long extinct race (nobody knows what killed them off) that has been a space civilization for over 5 billion years. The weapons are strange and nobody but the gargons know how they work. Despite the powerful weapons of the Gargons, they have never been known to fire a shot.
Kiliyan torpedo:
Kiliyan is Gargon for Destroyer of Worlds, this torpedo is only slightly more powerful than the transphasic torpedo.
Uihan torpedo:
Weaker than the Kiliyan torpedo, but with almost three times the range, this weapon is one of the reasons some people are afraid to approach Gargon ships.
Han torpedo:
Han means huge in Gargon, a MASSIVE understatement of the explosion this torpedo creates, The Han torpedo is more powerful than the Equantum torpedo (the most powerful weapon in the 27th century, has twice the yield than the transphasic torpedo, or in other words, the Han torpedo has 4 times the yield of the transphasic)
Pronic Phasers:
These phasers have the power equivalent of the type XVI phaser, but power can be reverted to make them as powerful as the type XX phaser, and as weak as the type IX phaser.
Burst phaser:
Exactly what the name says, slightly stronger than the Pronic phasers because they concentrate the energy into a quick burst that has a firing rate of 15 bursts per second, but has less accurecy.
Ships
Dragon class:
2 decks
75 meters
Armed with 1 Han torpedo, Pronic phasers, and burst phasers.
40 ships in service/15 being built
Basically the equivalent of the Federation Defiant class, although smaller. It only carries 10 torpedoes, but has a whole second power core for phasers, making them the primary weapon.
Gar class:
28 decks
680 meters
Armed with 5 Han torpedos 200 Kiliyan torpedos, 400 Uihan torpedos, Pronic phasers, and rarely but sometimes outfitted with burst phasers.
180 ships in service/140 being built
The primary ship of the Gargons, currently(2681) most of them are being used as cargo ships, with 7 exploring, but they are made to be warships as well. If planned to go into battle the can put about 300 of the one and only Gargon fighter type on it as cargo, but other wise it will just be carrying cargo, although even then it is armed so well that it can take down some of the best ships.
Carrier class:
2 decks(35 decks high, 33 are cargo holds.)
700 meters
Armed with 200 Uihan torpedos and burst phasers
100 ships in service/30 being built
The ship specially made to transport liquids or gases from place to place. Mainly transports Carmine Water.
Fighter class:
2 seats
18 meters long
Armed with Pronic and Burst phasers and 10 Uihan torpedos
1300 in service/500 being built
The one and only Gargon fighter.
Starbases(All star bases have 200 Han torpedos, 2000 Uihan and Kiliyan torpedos, and Pronic/Burst phasers. The first 2 or 3 digit number is the amount of decks in the star base, while the second 4 or 5 digit number is simply an id number (as far as anyone but the Gargons know).
A74-5690:
The first Gargon starbase(thus the A). It orbits the planet Garg and acts as a docking station for any ships, anyone wishing to come to the surface must take special shuttles to it.
C128-8940:
The economic center of the Gargons. This is where you will find trade/commerce, museums/monuments, etc. The starbase includes restraunts, temporary housing, stores, etc. Is also the research/development starbase of the Gargons. Also orbits Garg. The original starbase (B103-7690) was destroyed in a explosion created by a chemical mix in the science section of the starbase.
D68-4905; E59-5000; F78-6983:
The mobile starbases of the Gargons. Are basically mini versions of the other two starbases but move from place to place, only stopping to collect resources.
G37-1280:
A very small starbase, it is the newest and main scientific center for the Gargons. It was specially built for dangerous research and orbits the Sargonia system in a large gap between to planets.
