This was a poll I barrowed from another site. The current results are Star Trek 103 31.60% Star Wars 144 44.17% Spaceballs 17 5.21% Farscape 8 2.45% Dune 35 10.74% Stargate 19 5.83% Votes 326 people.
(I added Battlestar Galactica) I wonder how things will turn out. Anyway pick the one you want to win. If you don't understand one or more of them that is fine.

while I hate to say it, Stargate would IF the entire universe (in other words all known races and technology) joined together, which is how I interpret this poll. You have to actually watch quite a bit to know why I say that. They have basiclly ALL of Star Trek's and Star War's aspects combined. The technology of Star Trek with the supernatural powers of Star Wars. That's real generic but I don't have time to go into detail.

Star Trek also deals with some supernatural aspects, you'd have the ancients up against the Q continuum, and then the weaponry of Star Trek is much more advanced, even than the Go'uld. Just a little reasoning there. And then the Borg would have a n easier shot at assimilating all on Earth if today's earth couldn't withstand them, just a little reasoning behind mine.

I'm not about to argue with you, we're both too stubborn. It all comes down to luck and leaders. Good leaders and luck can mean an unlikely outcome to a fight. (by the way, there is technology in stargate FAR more advanced than the Goa'uld's, including a system that transports you to another diemension while still leaving you in the other one partially. It has the effect of a cloaking device that also makes you basiclly non-existant, things can go through you and nothing can harm you. Nice, eh!)

Don't think I am just going to sit back and watch the sparks. WE ALL are stubborn in our own way. But, back to track, Spaceballs is just a comedy, Farscape and Dune I know absolutely nothing about. Stargate, yes you travel, but if the symbols are off one character, then you could land in the middle of outer space. Any of the other three would be suffice for me.

The Klingons were experimenting with that same type of cloack, just listing stuff that I know.
